Great podcast Trevor was my TA in the early 1990s and I was student under Dr. Mike Dadswell. I worked on spiny dogfish in the Minas Basin then. I think they are seeing them again in that system because the population is expanding into that area because of regulations restricting their catch across their migratory range. I am a fisheries biologist/manager in North Carolina for 18 years now and the U.S. Has taken on many management changes for this population since 2000.
